Artist / Collective Overview

Founded in 2004, alice-d-records operates as a DIY label rooted in the German electronic community. The label’s stated purpose is “to evolve the human consciousness to an awakening frame of mind, expanding the neuro network in turn to create unique harmonics to the listener’s ears.” While the exact roster of founders is not publicly documented, the label has consistently championed emerging artists from Europe and beyond, providing a platform for music that blends ritualistic themes with modern production techniques. Its catalog reflects a commitment to both artistic freedom and a shared ethos of sonic exploration.

Musical Style & Genres

alice-d-records’ releases orbit around the psychedelic spectrum. Tracks often feature fast‑paced 140‑150 BPM tempos typical of Goa and psytrance, layered with swirling arpeggiated synths, ethnic instrumentation, and field recordings that evoke mystic rituals. Ambient and downtempo outings appear as spacious interludes, using reverb‑drenched pads and subtle percussive textures to create meditative atmospheres. Production values favor analog warmth and intricate sound design, with artists employing modular synths, granular processing, and complex rhythmic structures to generate evolving sonic journeys.
